All parents are welcome on campus after signing in at the office first.
The Burchfield Primary School kindergarten registration will be held WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1st and THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd at Burchfield Primary School campus from 8:30-2:30. This is for all children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2017, and will be entering kindergarten August 2017. Please call the office at 458-5853 to schedule your appointment. The registration can be conducted in either English or Spanish. If your child will be five years old between September 2nd-December 2, 2017 there is potential for a transitional kindergarten program. Please come in for more information.
Health information is recorded with the school nurse. By state law, we MUST HAVE PROOF OF IMMUNIZATIONS for polio, DPT (MMR), Hepatitis B, and proof of having had Chickenpox (documented by your physician), or a varicella vaccine. PROOF OF BIRTHDATE IS REQUIRED and must be presented when registering.
You may call the BPS office to make an appointment at 458-5853 between 8:00-4:00. If you know of eligible children, please encourage their parents to contact the school as soon as possible.
Notes from the Office:
Parking Lot: The front parking lot of the school is designed for dropping off and picking up students. Please pull forward completely in the drop off lane before letting your child exit or enter the vehicle. Also, when walking your child in, please park in a designated space.
Early Arrivals: Please do not drop off students before 8:00 a.m. There is no playground supervision until 8:00 a.m. If a student is eating breakfast, they may be dropped off at 7:50 a.m.
Spirit Wear: Friday is Red Day at Burchfield Primary School. All students are encouraged to wear red to school to show their school spirit. BPS t-shirts/sweatshirts are available in the office.
Wednesday Schedule: Just a reminder that every Wednesday all schools in the district will dismiss students a half hour early so teachers can meet to better plan and implement programs for all students. BPS students will be released at 1:45 p.m. Thank you for your cooperation.
